Verified Buyer Reviews, Unedited Photos

Across the three products Nadam sells, verified buyers have left 131 supplier-recorded reviews: the 8 cm brass bowl holds 4.9/5 from 51 reviews, the engraved bowl set 4.53/5 from 57, and the leather mallets 4.65/5 from 23. Below you'll find their exact words and unedited photos, including the 4-star ones.

Nadam is a new store, so we won't pretend to have a decade of our own review history. What we can show you is more useful than filler: verified-buyer reviews collected on our suppliers' listings for these exact products — the same 8 cm brass bowl, the same engraved set, the same leather mallets that go through our hands-on testing process before we ship them. Reviews written in other languages were translated into English and nothing else was touched: spelling, grammar and complaints appear exactly as the buyers typed them, and we kept the 4-star reviews in on purpose. As our own customers' reviews come in, they will be published here alongside these.

We do not publish fake or incentivized reviews — that would be illegal under consumer-protection rules — and we never trade discounts for stars. Photos are unedited and were submitted by verified buyers with their reviews.

Tibetan Singing Bowl 8 cm — 4.9/5 from 51 reviews

All six photo reviews of the 8 cm bowl are 5-star. Buyers repeatedly call out the sound ("the sound is perfect", "good sound") and fast delivery. The one recurring nitpick is honest too: the included wooden mallet feels small to some hands, because it is sized to an 8 cm bowl.

Two details in these reviews deserve a straight answer. First, the "small stick": the included wooden mallet is deliberately matched to an 8 cm (3.15 in) bowl — if you want a heavier, leather-wrapped head for rounder tones, that is exactly what our leather mallets are for. Second, one buyer received a bowl with a small dent. That should not happen, and if it happens to you it is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee — replacement or full refund, your call.

Singing Bowl Set — 4.53/5 from 57 reviews

The set averages 4.53/5 across 57 verified reviews — our most-reviewed product and our most honestly mixed. Buyers love the engraving, the silk cushion and the double-ended mallet; the 4-star reviews mention finish inconsistencies and the learning curve of rim singing. Both are worth reading before you order.

The set pairs the 8 cm (3.2 in) engraved bowl with an 8 cm silk cushion and a 12.5 cm (4.9 in) double-ended mallet — wood on one end, leather on the other. Flower of Life is by far the most-ordered engraving, but you can choose your engraving at secure checkout: Flower of Life, Auspicious Symbols or Gold Eye. And about those 4-star reviews:

Photo reviews skew 5-star on every platform. We keep the 4-star ones in on purpose, so you see the trade-offs before you pay, not after.

“Delivered quickly enough and feels nicely made - but the finish is inconsistent. Sounds nice as a bell, but i've not managed to make it sing yet.”

“I loved the product, it fulfills the required function; but it arrived with some details that can be seen in the photos that do not correspond, that's why I don't give it 5 stars.”

"Sounds nice as a bell, but I've not managed to make it sing yet" is the most useful sentence on this page. Rim singing is technique, not luck: rest the bowl on a flat palm, press the mallet firmly against the outside of the rim, and circle slowly with even pressure. If your bowl rings but won't sing, slow your hand down before you give up on it. Mira Chandran — Sound practitioner & product lead at Nadam

Leather Mallets — 4.65/5 from 23 reviews

All three mallet photo reviews are 5-star, and they read like woodworkers wrote them: even seam edges, no bulges in the stitching, hardwood that feels "heavy, just right". Buyers pair them with their own larger bowls as often as with ours — the three sizes cover both cases.

Three sizes, one construction: a turned hardwood handle with a stitched leather head. Small (13 × 2.6 cm) suits compact bowls up to 10 cm like ours, Medium (18 × 2.5 cm) is the all-rounder, and the Large head (18 × 4 cm) draws deeper tones out of bigger bowls. The full size guide is on the leather mallets page.

Where these reviews come from — and how to add yours

Every review and photo on this page was left by a verified buyer on the supplier listing for the exact product we sell, then translated into English where needed. Nothing is rewritten, nothing is cherry-picked to hide the 4-star feedback, and you can submit your own review by email.

Where do these reviews come from?

From verified purchases on our suppliers' listings for the exact products Nadam sells — the platform confirms each reviewer bought and received the item before their review is accepted. We selected the reviews that came with photos, translated the non-English ones, and left the wording untouched, typos included. More on who we are and why we work this way on our about page.

Can I leave my own review?

Yes, please. If you bought a Nadam bowl, set or mallet, send your review and a photo or two through our contact page — a few sentences on the sound, the finish and how it arrived is perfect. We publish honest reviews whether they are 5-star or not; the only things we reject are spam and reviews of products we don't sell.

Why do some reviews say only "Verified buyer" with no country?

We display a country only when the order shipped to a region we currently serve: the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. Reviews from buyers in other regions are real and verified all the same — they are simply shown as "Verified buyer". Delivery times for your region are on the shipping page.
